Abert's Squirrel-Wingless Wed.
Abert's Squirrel - Prescott Nat'l Forest - Prescott, Az.
The pretty ears caught my eye as he/she was busily at work in the pines.
From Wikipedia: Abert's squirrel (or tassel-eared squirrel) (Sciurus aberti) is a tree squirrel in the genusSciurus endemic to the Rocky Mountains from United States to Mexico, with concentrations found in Arizona, The Grand Canyon, New Mexico, and southwestern Colorado.

Red-napped Sapsucker-Wed.Wings
This photo was taken in the early sunlight (Prescott Nat'l Forest) so pardon the light/dark exposure. The Red-napped Sapsucker is a wintering bird for our area and I wanted to photo him before he leaves. His belly matches the wood of the trees for great camouflage and is sometimes hard to see except for the beautiful deep red markings on top of head and neck.
