Bushtits are small birds  ( 3 & 1/2 in.)  and always gather in large groups.  While hiking in the woods I see and hear them often, but never could get a photo as they are very flighty and move fast in the trees.  I was happy to get these pictures at the feeder.

Prescott Nat'l Forest

While out on my daily hikes in the forest these last couple of weeks, it has been slim pickings for new bird photos. I guess its just that time of year of "in between" before bird migration. However, I have noticed an abundance of hawks in the forest and out on posts on the nearby roads. I would have to say that this hawk pictured is larger than a Kestral - but then again you know my track record for I.D.ing hawks.   :)
