How appropriate on this Halloween week to find a Tarantula during our morning hike. They have been pretty sparse this year and I was happy to get this shot. Even though it was fairly small, this was as close as I wanted to get!
I saw a tarantula at Wichita Mountain NWR in Oklahoma. It was huge, but dead. The only tarantula around here (Southern Appalachians)that I am aware of is a beast called the Spruce-Fir Moss Spider.

Good shots Cynthia
I'm no afraid of spiders... but this one, I's not sure :) If my wife saw that one, she'd die before hitting the ground.
Fuzzy Wuzzy...I have a dried one in my curio cabinet.
