Some things overpower fear - like hunger. Also love. right now I am writing on my front porch overlooking a small hay field. A doe is there with one eye on me and one on her dead fawn. It went in the night after spending the whole day dying. Its instinct to care was greater than its fear. Perhaps someday humans will be so evolved.

Apparently that is their job. They love to munch on anything green including the front yard shrubs.
